Adult Lessons

Private Lessons for Beginners and New Members (Also available for children who can not attend our other programs)

Dates: May through October. Times and classes arranged between the student and the instructor.

Times: Classes are arranged between the student and the instructor.

Details: One-on-one basic instruction in the art of sculling. You are required to take enough one hour lessons to display competence on the water. Most people require between four and six lessons.

Enrollment: This program has open enrollment. Call or email the club for more information.

Lesson Fees: In addition to membership and a $75 new member fee, which is for anyone with no rowing experience, you pay between $40 - $60 for each one hour lesson directly to the instructor.

Youth Learn-to-Row

Summer 2009

These programs are open to students who have no previous rowing experience, or who are interested in improving their rowing technique in preparation for a Fall or Spring competitive rowing program.

There will be three 3-week sessions during the Summer:

Dates:
Session A June 22 - July 10
Session B July 13 - July 31
Session C Aug. 3 - Aug. 21

Times:
Monday through Friday from 10AM - Noon.

Prerequisite:
Must be at least 12 years of age, and be able to swim. Parents will have to sign a waiver that states that their child can swim. No rowing experience is necessary.

Enrollment:
Enrollment closes one week before the start date.

Program Fees:
$325. This fee includes a temporary club membership, which is good for the length of the program, only. No new member fee or key deposit is charged for youth programs. All fees are payable to Bachelors Barge Club.
